Editorials   Inexpensive Clarity: The GameCube VGA Cable
- By Travis Coats [Editor In Chief]

Ever since the day I purchased a GameCube, I have been trying to find an economical way to get the beauty of Progressive Scan without the cost of an HDTV.

Thanks to Goldenshop.com my search has ended successfully.

For a mere 461.91 Hong Kong dollars, (roughly 63 U.S. smackaroos) you can purchase an authentic Nintendo Component Cable that has been modified to work with a standard VGA connection.

With this baby, crystal-clear graphics are truly a reality. Words simply cannot do justice to the detail that becomes visible in progressive scan mode. Just trust me on this, if you don't want to pay an outrageous amount of money for an HDTV set, but still want to experience 480p goodness, than look no further than the GameCube VGA Cable. I honestly can't recommend it enough. Hell, with your purchase they will even throw in a soft and cuddly GameCube keychain.* You can't beat that.

Of course, you will still need speakers for audio output, but that's another story entirely.
