Editorials   Thanks, Nintendo!!!
- By Neal Gittens [Senior Editor]

Again tonight, I find myself in a position where my life has been made better by Nintendo. (Aside from the new info released about Mario Kart. Oh, how I now long for Mario Kart!!!)

As I was driving home from a visit to my friend Abram in Minneapolis, in my own real life version of a Mario Kart (played by my Honda Civic), my muffler decided to fall partially off. Being completely mechanically inept, I had no idea what to do, so I sat by the side of the interstate for a good chunk of time. Once it became readily apparent that no one was going to stop and help, (Screw you too, humanity!) I figured I'd take a look and see what I could possibly do to remedy the situation. Since it was night, and night tends to be dark, I had no flashlight, so I was out of luck. Or so I thought...

After a few minutes of hopeless thoughts and profanity screaming, something dawned upon me. I may not have a flashlight, but I have something even better: a Gameboy Advance SP. Using the SP's built in light, I shone some light underneath the car, locating the one piece that would allow me to remove the muffler, which I did, thus allowing me to return home without spewing sparks from under my car.

So to sum up: the fact that I had an SP saved me time, by allowing me to see under my car, and perhaps money, because otherwise, I may have required a tow truck or mechanic, which would have set me back a decent chunk of change. So to sum up, the moral of the story is: Gameboy Advance SP, don't leave home without it. Thanks, Nintendo!!!
