News   All-Star Baseball 2003 Shuts Out the Competition
- Posted By Mike Ryan, 04.26.2002

All-Star Baseball 2003's sales really do live up to the title's name. Among all other baseball games for next-gen systems, ASB 2K3 sold the most copies since its release last month.

"Proving to be a major league hit at retail for all three next-generation video game systems, All-Star Baseball 2003 from Acclaim Sports, a division of Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ.SC: AKLM), was the top-selling baseball video game across all platforms for the month of March. According to the latest NPDFunworld(sm) TRSTS(R) report, All-Star Baseball 2003 outperformed its competitors by more than 15% and owned nearly 60% of the baseball video game market for the period. "Right out of the batter's box, All-Star Baseball 2003 has quickly become the baseball game of the season," said Evan Stein, Vice President of Brand for Acclaim. "We're thrilled to build upon our successful franchise, and consumers' overwhelming response to the game is testimony to the commitment from our Austin Studio to develop a game that sets a new benchmark on hardball excellence in our industry.""

Our sincere congrats go out to Acclaim on its successful game.
