Now this is what I'm talking about. Forget that realistic stuff. Cartoon sports games are where it's at. Nintendo nailed the jackpot with this one as far as I'm concerned. Feast your eyes on this press release and join me in celebration!



Konami Corporation and Disney Interactive today announced an agreement to develop and market a video game series of sports product tentatively titled Disney All-Star Sports, featuring Mickey and his pals. The series will feature both team sports and extreme sports games, starring popular Disney characters as athletic all-stars. The six sport agreement includes; football, basketball, soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding and motocross, which will be available only on Nintendo GameCube and Nintendo GameBoy Advance this Fall.

Combining the high-energy fun of each sport with the storytelling, humor and imagination of Disney, Disney All-Star Sports puts an extreme twist on sports console games, helping players get into the action with their favorite animated athletes. Disney All-Star Sports will deliver arcade-style action, multiplayer gaming, stunning graphics and a hip new attitude for some of the best-loved Disney personalities, including Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Max and Big Bad Pete.
