News   Who Needs Four Players When You Can Have Eight?
- Posted By Rob Schlicht, 05.16.2001

It appears that there will be a five port multitap released for the GameCube, despite an inclusion of four controller ports. NHL Hitz 2002 is listed as being 1-6 players, and NFL Madden 2002 is listed as being a 1-8 player game. Here's hoping EA gets ambitious and includes 1-10 player support once they stop simply porting over the PS2 versions of their games. Madden isn't as much of an issue, but an NBA game with 8 player support, but not ten player support, is just ludicrous.

Look for more info from NSports tomorrow, as we have an exclusive interview with Mark Turmell, who we'll force to clear this up for us. Also, we may hold him ransom for GameCube ROM's, but that's just an idea we're tossing around the hotel room.
