News   SSB Melee Secret Characters

While waiting in the SSB Melee center, I happened to notice a new part to the video they were repeating. It showed off multiple characters not shown in the video the day before, in a mode similiar to the character profiles in SSB on the N64. The one's I saw included King Deedee (Kirby's nemesis), King K. Rool, the Excitebike Racer (complete with dirtbike, from the NES), Andross's Face (SNES version), Andross's Face (N64 version), Balloon Kid (from the NES game), and a Goomba.

While none of these were playable, they were shown, which is a very good sign. However, also not playable were: Shiek, Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff, and Peach. For more in-depth hands-on impressions, check back for our updated preview later tonight.
