News   More information on Tony Hawk 2 for Game Boy Advance.
- Posted By Travis Coats, 05.05.2001

The interview is full of information about Tony Hawk 2 as well as some interesting tidbits about the Game Boy Advance's capabilities.

For example, Matt Conte of Vicarious Visions stated that, "The AGB was definitely engineered with 2D games in mind; there are so many nice features that are available to the programmers and artists, that it is easily one of the most powerful 2D consoles I've ever seen."
Now this is excellent news for fans of the old style two-dimensional games of yesteryear. Flashy 3D graphics and worlds are all well and good, but sometimes you just want to sit down with the classics. That statement from Mr. Conte just reaffirms my belief that the new Game Boy is going to be something special indeed.

As far as Tony Hawk 2 is concerned, Karthik Bala (also of Vicarious Visions) was quoted as saying; "We knew we had reproduced the experience of Tony 2 PSX when players were doing 400,000 point combos and 1.5 million points in a 2 minute run!"
Sounds good to me! If this portable version can imitate the original in details as important the combo system, players will certainly be in for a treat when it is released this summer. I for one am definitely looking forward to it.
