News   N64 turns 5!
- Posted By Travis Coats, 09.25.2001

While the official date for the Fun Machine was set for Sept 29 1996, the unit was actually on store shelves in small amounts on the 25th. The actual real launch of the machine ended up being on Sept 26th, but since I love the N64 more than should be allowed, I wanted to give the console an early birthday.

Here's to you N64. Thank you for the last five years, and may your spirit never die.

Since I'm such an N64 freak, look for a true tribute to the console near the GameCube's launch.
