There isn't much info yet, but when we get more it will be added.

This is the official press release.

Rage, the UK-based computer games publisher and developer, is pleased to announce that its forthcoming officially licensed boxing game 'RockyTM' for the Nintendo GameCube is scheduled for release in time for Christmas 2002.

The original Rocky film starring Sylvester Stallone earned an Academy Award for Best Picture in 1976, and went on to gain worldwide recognition as one of the greatest feel good movies of all time. To commemorate the titles 25th anniversary, MGM have recently re-released special editions of the Rocky collection on DVD and VHS Video.

Based on the critically acclaimed Rocky movie anthology, the game will feature all of the lead characters from the five Rocky films including Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang, Ivan Drago and Tommy Gunn.

You must fight your way through a variety of single and multi-player game modes including a special movie mode, knockout tournament and exhibition bout. You can also enter a number of detailed training modes designed to enhance your boxer's skill and stamina.

Rocky features superb free-flowing motion captured animation using real-life boxers and a huge range of punches from attacking hooks, jabs and uppercuts to defensive blocks, ducks and weaves. It also has varied fight locations from rundown gyms to the world's best-known arenas.
