Preview  Donkey Kong Racing

In what came as a suprise today Donkey Kong was announced to be heading to the GameCube, but not in quite the way you might expect. Of course the big ape will get his own GameCube platformer sometime down the line, but before that he and many of the Kong family will be starring in a psuedo sequel to Diddy Kong Racing for the N64. Very little information is known at this time, but judging from the short video clip that is available Donkey Kong and crew will be riding animals instead of vehicles. Creatures such as swordfish and bumblebees will carry the Kongs through colorful 3D worlds in a frantic race to the finish line.

Graphically the game shines as bright as other GameCube software offerings with clean crisp textures, and vibrant characters and backgrounds. Simply everything you would expect in a game such as this.
