Preview  Boxing Fever
- By Travis Coats

Ever wanted to beat the snot out of someone while you are on the road? Yeah, me too... However, since doing that at random tends to be frowned upon in most areas, let me introduce you to the latest Boxing game for Game Boy Advance.

The title is called Boxing Fever, and according to the press release it's a new style of boxing game that draws the gamer in by using large first person viewpoints to enhance immersion. Certainly sounds intriguing doesn't it?

Apparently, the cartoon look and feel of the game will combine humor and strategy to attract both young and "mature" players alike. In addition, Boxing Fever's individual characters will be differentiated not only by their look, but by their AI personalities as well.

Not too shabby indeed. The game also features a wealth of options and modes such as those below.

A two-player mode.

A Proprietary full screen character animation technology optimized for small screens.

A mode that allows players to trade character skins with a password.
Large cartoon characters and fluid animation.

Extensive music, sound effects, and narratives.

8 regular boxers and 2 hidden bosses.

10 unique personalities.

3 different looks for each character.

Special punch combos for each fighter.

A full training mode with a special robot trainer.

5 different championships.

5 difficulty levels.

A survival mode.

A password feature for saving the game. (Yuck)

Aside from that last part, this game has amazing potential. If you consider yourself a fan of Boxing, (or if you just like to see people beat each other senseless) then this might be the game for you.

Boxing Fever is set for release in October.
