Preview  Street Fighter Alpha 3
- By Matt Regashus

Coming off of the release of Super Street Fighter Turbo Revival on Gameboy Advance, Capcom is planning on unleashing more 2-D fighting fury for Nintendo's portable system. This time, they will be getting even more ambitious with the release of Steet Fighter Alpha 3, originally for the PS1 and Dreamcast.

Capcom is looking to bring quite a bit to the table with SFA 3, including bigger, more advanced graphics, over thirty characters, a World Tour mode in which you can build up characters, and a two-on-one mode called Dramatic Battle. Capcom is also bringing over the new "Guard Break" meter, which cuts down on the ability for an opponent to block endlessly.

Street Fighter Alpha 3 offers a lot of bang on a tiny cart, though it will be interesting to see how well a game as deep as this can fare on the GBA, especially when one considers just how hard it is to play Capcom fighting games on a system with only two buttons and two side triggers (it made Super Street Fighter Turbo Revival nearly impossible to fully enjoy). Expect a release in early 2002.
