Preview  WWF: Road to Wrestlemania
- By Matt Regashus

While Gameboy Advance has one wrestling game already in Fire Pro Wrestling, there's just something missing without the WWF license. Luckily, THQ is ready to end the hunger of everyone who wants the ultimate in "Sports Entertainment" with WWF: Road to Wrestlemania.

From appearances alone, RtW looks a lot like the WWF games that came out for SNES and Genesis in the early 90's. A look at what is inside shows that it will be much deeper than it's 16 bit brethren.

The game includes 24 of the WWF's biggest stars, though there is no word as to whether or not it will include those from WCW and ECW who have recently "invaded" the WWF. Judging from the fact that these wrestlers will not be in upcoming WWF games on Playstation 2 and X-Box, however, makes it seem unlikely.

Despite their omission, stars such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kain, and Koko B. Ware will be included. (OK, maybe not Koko B. Ware.)

There will also be plenty of ways to duke it out in WWF:RtW, including single matches, tag team, cage, triple threat, hardcore, and submission. Get three friends and RtW will let you link up for some multi-player butt-whoopin'.

On top of that, there are five game modes: season, exhibition, King of the Ring, Pay Per View, and Wrestlemania, meaning there should be more than enough depth to keep a WWF fan happy.

THQ is planning on releasing WWF:Road to Wrestlemania sometime in November, just in time for those long car rides to Grandma's for Thanksgiving.
