Preview NBA Jam 2002
- By Chris Montreuil
I can remember those glorious college days as if it were yesterday. The stale smell of pizza and college guy bo coupled with the acrid smell of an overused ac adapter and burning 16 bit console. The sounds of insane dunks and outrageous rejections echo in the distance. Yes folks I am talking about college life but more specifically the in your face basketball action that is NBA Jam. The decidedly non-simulation basketball series from Acclaim has made its way to your ever popular, multi-millions and counting, Gameboy Advance.
Brought to you by the wizards at Digital Creations, NBA Jam 2002 will be sure to feature all of your favorite professional hoopsters, over 140 of them, in all their portable glory. Fans of the indefatigable Kiki Vanderweigh will be forced to look elsewhere though. For everyone else the latest iteration of Jam will be sure to please with its rich offerings.
- Official NBA licensed product, including all 29 teams and courts
- More than 140 NBA superstars
- Traditional NBA JAM 2-on-2 arcade action
- Two new "Jam-style" courts, including Beach and Street Jam
- Return of Fun Mode, with player Hotspots, Hangtime, Half Court Superdunks and On Fire

With a projected holiday season launch NBA Jam 2002 should be at the top of any prospective trash talkers wish list. Be sure to find a friend, or an enemy for that matter, cause the over the top antics of NBA Jam are at it once again.
